{"id":2205,"date":"2026-03-25T08:34:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T08:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esfriv.com\/?p=2205"},"modified":"2026-03-25T08:34:18","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T08:34:18","slug":"mussels-with-parmesan-cream-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esfriv.com\/?p=2205","title":{"rendered":"Mussels with Parmesan Cream Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mussels with Parmesan Cream Sauce<br>Ingredients<br>For the mussels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 lbs (900 g) fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded<br>1 tbsp olive oil<br>2 tbsp butter<br>4 cloves garlic, minced<br>1 small shallot (or \u00bd onion), finely chopped<br>\u00bd cup white wine (or chicken broth)<br>Salt and black pepper, to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Parmesan cream sauce:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup heavy cream<br>\u00bd cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated for best flavor)<br>\u00bd tsp Cajun seasoning (optional for a kick)<br>\u00bc tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)<br>1 tbsp lemon juice<br>1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clean the mussels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rinse under cold water and remove any beards.<br>Discard any mussels that are cracked or that remain open after a light tap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saut\u00e9 aromatics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.<br>Add garlic and shallots; cook until fragrant, about 1\u20132 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steam the mussels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour in white wine, then bring to a simmer.<br>Add the mussels, cover with a lid, and steam for 5\u20136 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until mussels open.<br>Remove mussels with tongs and set aside.
