{"id":2329,"date":"2026-04-09T17:25:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esfriv.com\/?p=2329"},"modified":"2026-04-09T17:25:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:25:15","slug":"pickled-shrimp-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esfriv.com\/?p=2329","title":{"rendered":"Pickled Shrimp Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#x1f990; Pickled Shrimp Recipe (Southern Style)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 lb (450g) cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 red onion, thinly sliced<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2\u20133 garlic cloves, thinly sliced<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/4 cup fresh parsley or dill, chopped<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon capers (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\u20132 teaspoons mustard seeds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 teaspoon celery seeds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 cup white wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 cup olive oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juice of 1 lemon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Layer the jar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a clean 1-quart (1-liter) glass jar, layer cooked shrimp with red onion, garlic, parsley\/dill, and capers if using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Make the pickling brine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, mustard seeds, celery seeds, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Pour and seal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour the brine over the shrimp mixture in the jar. Press the shrimp down to ensure it\u2019s fully submerged. Seal the jar tightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Chill and marinate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refrigerate for at least 24 hours, shaking the jar occasionally. The longer it sits (up to 3\u20135 days), the better the flavor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
