1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8 oz smoked sausage, sliced into \u00bd-inch pieces<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 cups broccoli florets<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4 cloves garlic, minced<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\/4 cup honey<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 tbsp lemon juice<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salt & black pepper, to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped, for garnish (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make the Sauce<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Honey<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soy sauce<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Garlic<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lemon juice<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Red pepper flakes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cook the Sausage<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a large nonstick skillet or cast iron pan, heat a bit of olive oil over medium-high heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Add sliced sausage and cook for 4\u20135 minutes, turning until browned. Remove and set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cook the Shrimp<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same skillet, add shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 2\u20133 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the sausage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saut\u00e9 the Broccoli<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Add broccoli to the skillet and saut\u00e9 for 4\u20135 minutes until tender-crisp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tip: Add a splash of water and cover for 1\u20132 minutes to steam slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Combine & Finish<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Return the shrimp and sausage to the pan. Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything and toss well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let it cook for 2\u20133 minutes until heated through and the sauce begins to thicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Serve<\/p>\n\n\n\n
