Ingredients:3/4 cup light butter1 cup brown sugar1 egg1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup whole wheat flour1 cup white flour2 tablespoons white flour2 cups oat flakes1 cup cherry spread (Double Fruit type)Instructions:In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.Add the egg and vanilla, and beat until combined.In a separate bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, white flour, and baking powder.Gradually add as much of the dry ingredients as possible to the butter mixture and beat on low speed.Using a wooden spoon, stir in the remaining dry ingredients and oat flakes.Save 125 ml of the oatmeal mixture for later.
