- Juice of 1 lemon or 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of oil (it can be olive or vegetable oil)
- (Optional) 1/2 cup of white wine or cooking broth
- Step-by-step preparation:Marinate the chops:In a bowl, mix the chopped garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, lemon juice (or vinegar), and 1 tablespoon of oil.Coat the chops well with this mixture and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (ideally 1 hour or more in the refrigerator).
Cooking the chops:
Heat a large skillet with the other tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
Place the chops and brown them on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
If they are thick, turn down the heat, cover the pan and cook for another 5-10 minutes until they are cooked through.
(Optional) Deglaze:
If you want more flavor, you can add white wine or stock at the end of cooking to make a light sauce. Scrape the bottom of the pan and let it reduce slightly.
