Southern-Style Beef Tips with Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients:

1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 lbs beef sirloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef tips and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their juices and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Return the beef tips to the skillet and simmer until heated through and the flavors meld, about 5 minutes
