Ingredients:

1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
2 tsp ground cumin
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Filling:

In a bowl, mix the shredded cheese and ground cumin until well combined.
Assemble the Buns:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
Flatten each piece into a small circle and place a spoonful of the cheese and cumin mixture in the center.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a ball. Place each filled bun seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake:

Brush the tops of the buns with the beaten egg for a glossy finish.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown
