Ingredients:

4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons minced parsley (optional)
1 loaf of Italian or French bread
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
About 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley (if using) until well blended.
Slice the Bread: Cut the loaf of bread into even-sized slices or breadsticks.
Coat with Garlic Butter: Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously coat each slice of bread with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to cover both sides.
Sprinkle with Parmesan (Optional): If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the breadsticks.
Bake in the Oven: Place the coated breadsticks on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp.
